• Released as a captive import of the Holden Commodore, the Chevrolet SS is the spiritual successor of the Pontiac G8. When it came out in 2014, the SS was the first rear-wheel drive, V8-powered Chevy sedan available in the United States since the "B-Body" Caprice and Impala SS were discontinued in 1996. With modern trends going in favor of forced induction, the Chevrolet SS represents one of the last "old-school" performance sedans.
